America's First Freedom Student Competition

Purpose:

 

To encourage students to examine religious freedom.

Eligibility:

 

Applicants must be 9th-12th grade students in public, private or parochial schools or home-schooled or distance-learning students living in the U.S. and U.S. territories. The competition is also open to 9th-12th grade American students living outside of the U.S., non-American students attending American and international schools outside of the U.S., foreign-exchange students studying in the U.S. and legal aliens and legal visitors studying in the U.S. Students participating in dual enrollment programs, which combine classes for a high-school diploma and college credit, whether studying on a high school or college campus are eligible; and American GED-program students, 20 years of age and younger, are eligible.

How to apply:

 

Registration and all essay materials (guidelines, topic, etc.) are available online. Online registration, a signed registration form, six copies of essay and bibliography and an essay and bibliography saved on a CD or disk are required.
