Applicants must be high school seniors who are enrolling in a public college or university within their state of residence and pursuing a bachelor's degree. They must also have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and demonstrate financial need. The award is up to $5,000 per year and renewable for up to four years. To renew the scholarship, recipients must maintain a 2.75 minimum GPA, take a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester and during the second year of funding work an average of 10 hours per week.
